ひそかにやってます。「Redbaron3D」
WinXPでは動かないという話を聞いてましたが、インスコしてみたら動きました。
ちょっとドライバを認識してないのにジョイが動いてたり謎な部分ありますが・・・。
ちょっと説明を兼ねたお話をします。（ちょっと専門用語入るかもしれない）
↑敵地に編隊で乗り込むアルバトロスD.III
このレッドバロンⅡ（後にパッチで3Dに進化）は、98年のソフトなので絵的にキツイものがありますがね。
当時はかなりイケてるフライトシムでした。何がすごいって、キャンペーンがスゴイ。自動生成して2度と同じのができないミッション作ってくれる。目的は戦争を戦い抜くんだけど、はっきりいって無理に近い。
一番最初からやると1916年1月からで・・・18年の11月終戦まで毎日のように飛ぶことになる・・・。
もちろん撃墜されたり弾にパイロットが当たると死ぬのでお墓に行くムービーが流れるｗ
やられかかって敵地に不時着すれば、捕虜になる。運がよければ戦線を越えて帰ってくるｗ
捕虜になって終戦まで捕虜のままでいる可能性もあるし、数ヵ月後に収容所から脱出して復帰するときもあるｗ
さらに、歴史的なイベントも起きる。実際に攻勢があった時期は、戦線で兵士達が散兵線をつくり走る。そして敵の塹壕に近づくと機関銃になぎ倒されるのか消えていく・・・。
あとは・・・味方撃ちすると厳重注意されるし、繰り返すと軍法会議になって終了ｗ
ちゃんといろんな部隊があって、配備してる飛行機の型が違うし、新型機が入ってくる時期まで違う。
あと、ちゃんとパイロットの名前もあって中にはちゃんと史実でエースパイロットだった人も登場し、時期によってまだエースでなかったりする。落下傘は装備されなかった（史実は独が後期装備したがそこまでは・・・）のも再現していて、Jを3回押すと脱出できるにもかかわらず、死ぬｗ しかし、地上すれすれで速度を落として脱出したら大怪我で済んだ時があった！ｗ
そこらへんが超リアルｗ
多分これから先、そこまで生き様を再現するゲームはほとんど出現しないだろう。
そのゲーム性に魅かれて98年末に購入してから1年はこれしかやらなかった。
似たようなリアルキャンペーンのシムはEAW（Europian Air War）ぐらいだろう。これもヒットした。
数々のMODも出て、中には21世紀に入って完成したMODまであって、非常に綺麗な画面になった。
が、綺麗になるMODはGlideのみ。いまさらVoodoo使ってる偉人は少ないでせう。
ちゃっかりRedbaron用の為だけにVoodooBanshee残してあるんだけどｗ
まあ・・・とりあえずはXPでも不安定ながら動いたので遊んでます。
Pentium166MHｚ以上、メモリ16MB以上、VRAMは4MBあれば動くはずですｗ
ちなみにこのソフト買った時のマイPC-98スペック、Pentium100MHｚ、Mem16MB、VRAM １MBでは動きませんでしたのでご注意をｗ
