ME-1欲しいです。MonoMachineとかのファミコン的チープ楽器や使いやすそうなハードウェアシーケンサとしては最後？のRm1xとか欲しかったんですが、両者共に代理が利くので別に無理して買う程のものではなくなってしまいました。
ME-1もただのマルチ音源なので、SD-90を持っている以上、GM対応でなく、別に大容量でバリバリスゴイ音源でもないので、必要ないんですがね。
Kurzweilの音源って、大したROM容量ではなく性能もズバ抜けて上でもないのに、普通のメーカーの音源より値段が3倍も4倍もするんです。キーボード1台30万とか40万。どう見てもブランド。
でも、なぜこのメーカー、そんな値段で売れるんでしょうか。いろいろ調べてみました。理由は音色がとっても良いみたいです。特にプロレベルの人達の一部は、Kurzweilを愛用するそうです。
要は、最新技術とか最高性能よりも、完成された職人技のような機械ということですね。今のシンセの世界もPCの世界のように、スペックだけが先行してる感じはしますね。
まあ、その30～40万の音源が5万で売り出されたのがME-1なんで、あこがれのKurz音源を手に入れようとは思ってます。ただ、時代の流れからすると買って失敗しそうなんですよね。今時、256音色全部で数十MBって物凄い少ない容量ですから・・・。いくらサンプリング技術が素晴らしくても、性能的には数世代前の性能でしか無いのが・・・。
