8月11日からやっていた変換作業が終了しました。
トータルで8GB、サンプル数は数万。
全部フォーマットをAKAI/S6000タイプに変換し、フォルダ分けをしました。
最近非常に気に入ってるのが、効果音サンプルです。まあ、何かに使えるだろうと買っておいた
効果音サンプリングCDなんですが、大砲の音からモーターボートの音、犬の鳴き声から、パーティーのざわめきまであります。これあれば簡単な映像に音を付け加えれますね。
ちなみに・・。
当たり前すぎな話ですが、映画の効果音って、足音から電話の音、環境音から風切り音まですべて後に編集してあるんですよね。撮影したシーンは無音です。
じゃあ、そんな音をどこから仕入れて来るかというと、効果音を専門でサンプリングしてる会社というのがあるんですよ。そういう効果音をサンプリングCDとして販売して、いろんな方面で使われているようです。例えばTVとかラジオ、映画、イベント等。やはり企業向けのプロ仕様が多く、結構高いです。映画「バックトゥーザフューチャー」で使われた・・とかそういうモノは数万円から数十万円とかします。
今の時代ですから、映画向けとかは5.1chで録音した音でしょうし・・。
個人向けとしては、たまーにCDレンタル屋さんでその他の欄とかに、効果音集ってありますよね。
運動会のBGMとかと一緒に並んでるはず。
ちなみに何で環境音とかがそんなに高いのかというと、録音するのは楽そうでものすごいめんどくさい作業なんです。
仮にモーターボートの音を撮るなら、実際にモーターボートのある場所に行って録音します。
雨降ってたらその場で終了です。
録音する方法も大変です。岸から録音するのか、モーターボートに乗って録音するのか、はたまた2台のモーターボートを並列させて、モーターの後方の水しぶきの音をとるのか・・。
街頭のざわめきもそうです。特定の話を耳をすませば聞こえてしまうようでは、ざわめきのサンプリングとして役立ちません。ループしますから、もし「俺さー」って声が微妙に聞こえてたら「俺さー」「俺さー｣って耳をすませば何度も聞こえちゃうんですよね・・。そんなの効果音に使えませんからね・・。
そういうことで、普通に街に出向いて録音は無理なので、それだけのキャストを雇って録音するんでしょう。ガヤガヤという音をサンプリングするってのは過酷なんですね。
昔、Jホンの着メロで初めてPCM再生が可能な携帯が発売された時にさっそくマンボの「ウッ！」ってのを鳴らしてみました。4bit/8kHzの世界です。着メロのデータと合わせて6kb以内という過酷な小容量の中で、音を切り詰め、なんとか2kbまで縮めました。この作業をやった時、何時間かかっただろうな。
素人初挑戦だからというのもありますが、「ウッ！」の2秒にも満たない音に2時間ぐらいかかった記憶があります。
そこいらにありそうで無い音を作る世界、こういう世界で働いてみたかった気もします・・。
